KUMBHALAGARH TO PUSHKAR (6 DAYS) DIST-225km

| Day 01. KUMBHALGARH TO GHANERAO. Riding dist-22km. |
Starting at 9am after breakfast from Kumbhalgarh the unconquered fort of rulers Of mewar we move on to the forest tracks. This is a declared wild life sanctuary housing sloth bear, leopard's antelopes deer's. Moving unhurriedly as you witness a large variety of birds and plant species which is true wealth of Aravalli. We come down from a height of 1800 feet to a breath taking view of a dam site with a forest lodge with hundreds of migratory birds in the water and crocodile basking in the sun. We stop here for our lunch and a long rest as the distance is not much. One can charm their cameras & handicams. We take charge of our mounts once again around 3pm coming out of the forest and crossing through few tribal settlements we head towards the old town of Ghanerao. As you enter the majestic gate way you are stunned by the grandeur of this 17 century castle of Ghanerao. We refresh our self with tea or coffee enjoying the golden sun going down in the west from the top roof of the castle. O/N Ghanerao castle.

| Day 02. GHANERAO TO RAWLA JOJAWAR. Riding dist-44km. |
At the crack of the dawn leaving behind majestic castle we move towards north & enter the fertile plains of godwar region. Along the way we encounter the community of shepherd called Rabari who earn there living by selling their goat and sheep. At noon we reach a deserted sarai (rest room) used for the messengers during the day of British and the former kingdom. We stop over for lunch and resting a while we move parallel to the Aravalli range. Crossing through some small villages by sunset we reach Rawala Jojawar a beautiful colonial castle. In the evenings we sit around a bonfire and enjoy our drinks discussing all the happenings witnessed. O/N Jojawar Rawala.

| Day 03. JOJAWAR TO DHAKDI. Riding dist-38km. |
Starting after breakfast at 8:30 we move leaving behind the town of Jojawar crossing a dry riverbed. As we move we come across a variety of colorful people which belongs to the gujjar community depending on their cattle's and small farmland. Crossing the railway tracks we move & stop over for our lunch at a cool shady place enclosed with walls. After lunch we start our journey crossing the henna plantation which is abundance in this area. At around 5:30pm we reach our camp site where the team with horses would stay for the night & we drive to dhakdi in jeeps for the night. Dhakdi is a beautiful house built on a farm with all modern enmities. O/N Dhakdi farm.

| Day 04. DHAKDI TO NIMAJ FORT. Riding dist-35km. |
In the morning after breakfast we leave our campsite where we are awaited by our horses and grooms all set to gallop on the distant soil. We move parallel to the railway tack and a few train also passes by. Encountering all together a different world of people busy with their routine life the simple life folks of villages' colorful dress we stop over at small lake with a thick growth of banyan tree and two or three temples belonging to different Hindu deity. We have our lunch watching the grooms taking care of our horses unsaddling and offering water, food and fodder after lunch. We once again start passing through fields and beautiful countryside with Aravalli on one side and plains on the other crossing few dotted villages we reach the rustic fort of nimaj once an out post of the former kingdom of marwar and we are welcome for the night. | Day 05. N1MAJ TO RAS. Riding dist-38km. |
Leaving nimaj to its former glory we move towards north east starting at 8:30 after breakfast. Cantering on the silky sand we peep in to the life of farmers with his family working on the fields as it is the time of rabbi (winter) crops enjoying the beautiful country side we reach our lunch place at a beautiful secluded farm. After lunch crossing some isolated villages inhabited by locales a mix of tribal's, shepherd and farmers. We see the royal place and fort of ras at a distance. Standing still on a hill as we enter the fairytale palace of 17th century. O/N Ras palace.

| Day 06. RAS TO PUSHKAR. Riding dist-44km. |
Starting early at 8am with early breakfast we leave behind fort of ras defending it self from time. As you move we cross more small fortresses in ruins and also few marble mines in the Aravalli. Crossing some hills we halt for lunch where laid tables are already waiting for us. After lunch we once more move towards our holy destination Pushkar the town of temples where god and human beings come together. As the dust raises from cattle hooves in the distance, the warm glow of the setting sun seems to light up the country side merging anything and everything in its fading glory. O/N Pushkar camp.
